Mangalore : A daily wage worker was killed and another was seriously injured in a train accident at Central Railway Station on April 14 Saturday.

The deceased is M. P. Professor of Hassan and the injured is Santhosh Devadiga of Kadri who had gone to collect the post a 6:00 a.m. from the West Coast Express, which had arrived into the station at 4:00 a.m.

Since the railway track was being changed at that time, the compartment moved backward knocking down M. P. Professor and Santhosh Devadiga. While M. P. Professor was killed on the spot, Santhosh Devadiga sustained severe leg injuries.

Currently, Mr. Devadiga is taking treatment at AJ Hospital and has been declared out of danger.
