Mangalore : The recent landslide took place between Padil and Thokur, was been cleared away on June 27, Sunday.
Though railway authorities assured to clear the way within Sunday noon, the process took place till end of the day, Hence the trains will be operated as usual from June 28, Monday.
According to the authorities, Mangalore – Mumbai Matsyagandha train which used to start from Mangalore will be starting from Suratkal. For the convenience of the passengers, the department has also has arranged buses to take the reserved ticket passengers of Mumbai from Suratkal Railway Station. It has already cancelled seven long-distance trains and has diverted 11 more.
