Mangaluru : A transgender was arrested on charges of waylaying and robbing gold chain from a bike rider near Kadri BSNL exchange.

The arrested person is identified as Abhishek alias Gombe alias Anamika (27), from Mysuru living currently in Bengaluru.

The accused had waylaid Ganesh Shetty who was on his bike near BSNL exchange, beside national highway at Nanthoor. The accused sprayed pepper spray on Shetty’s face and snatched a gold chain weighing 24 grams that was wearing around his neck.

Kadri police arrested the accused and recovered 71 grams gold and three other gold chains from him.
