Mangaluru: Mangaluru Transport Department has seized 9 buses for violating the departmental norms.

The department has seized four buses on Wednesday and five buses in the previous week. A warning has been given to the bus owners regarding the issue.

Some of the buses haven’t paid the taxes and some are functioning without permit. Such bus owners were warned by the transport department officials. The officials have also observed that some buses are functioning by violating the route permit norms also.

Officials had received complaint from the public regarding the route permit. Some buses are functioning in cross roads to avoid signals and some are debussing the passengers. After listening to the complaints the officials have finally got down to the field and enquiring the complaints.
