Mangalore: Vijay diwas reminds all patriotic citizens in the country, of all the martyrs who had laid down their lives fighting against the enemies of the country, be they internal, or invaders from a cross Indian borders.
A cordial tribute was paid on Friday (Dec 16) morning to Indian soldiers, martyred during Kargil border and other/border wars against Pak intruders into India, as on 16-12-1971, (Bangla War), at the Kadri Park War Memorial.
The patriotic victory programme was organised by Dakshina Kannada district Ex-Servicemen’s Association, to honour national soldiers who died in International War fightings, on duty (or in harness, as they say).
Dignitaries included NCC cadets and officers attached to various colleges, who attended.
