Mangaluru: Tulunadu Rakshana Vedike in collaboration with Fort Ward Friends celebrated Souharda Christmas by cutting the cake in front of DC office on Wednesday.
Chief Whip of government in legislative council Ivan D’Souza cut the cake in the presence of leaders of various religions.
“Only the mutual celebrations of festivals bring communal harmony. Efforts to bring the people of different religions together by TRV is appreciable,” said Ivan.
Esha Vithaladasa Swamiji speaking on the occasion said that DC office is a place where problems of public are being solved. Celebrating Christmas here is a good thing. TRV has done a great job.
Founder President of TRV Yogish Shetty Jeppu said “people are talking about TRV as we are responding to the woes of public. To spread the message of communal harmony we are celebrating Christmas today. Further we will organise such programmes in each corners of the district.”
