Udupi: Objecting the Kannada Rajyothsava, Tulunada Rakshana Vedike organised black day on Tuesday in front of clock tower.

Addressing the protestors TRV district President Ikalabava Chittaranjandas Shetty said that political leaders of coastal region have betrayed the people by allowing foreign chemical countries to open their factories here in Tulu Nadu.

“Water resources of the coastal region have been dried due to the governmental projects. History of the land is being vanished and the government is showing partiality to give basic facilities and jobs to coastal region people,” he said.

He further said that though more than one crore people use Tulu language, but the government hasn’t included it in the eight schedule of the constitution.

TRV Founder President Yogesh Shetty Jeppu, district Convener Ramesh Poojary, General Secretary Azarudhin and others were present.
