Udupi: Producer and stunts wizard Rama Shetty of DK district who made fight sequences in 445 films in Hindi, 65 in Kannada, and 51 in Odisha, has Completed his first Tulu Film in decades.
‘Bangarda Kural’ is likely to be released in May next, under the banner of Anand Films.
The picture has multi-lingual actor Shivadhwaj as the hero, and the Bhojpuri actress Palkee Hegde from Mumbai who speaks Tulu at home as the heroine.
Supporting actors/actresses come from Tulu stage background, like Machendranath Pandeshwar and Kishori Ballal. Tamma Lakshman who is the art director has a role, so also Rama Shetty’s son Anand who is doing the role of a villain.
There are four fight sequences and seven songs in the film, the producer informed Pressmen.
Shooting was done in Karkala, Bajpe and Moodabidri. Former minister Amarnath Shetty’s house forms a locale.
Music is scored by local director V. Monohar who has done it for a great hit in Tulu recently. Screenplay is from Rama Shetty himself. Choregraphy is by Madan-Harini. K.G. Raju has done cinematography.
There will be special effects and sound from Bollywood experts. It is a big-budget Tulu film this time, assures the producer-director Rama Shetty, who gave more time to his “baby” as a Tuluva.
