Mangalore: Ikala Harish Shetty, Mumbai will present the mega tulu tele soaps ‘Bhoomi’ under the banner Nidhi Media Tech, Mangalore, said Udaya Dharmastala, member of  Tulu Sahitya Academy.
Speaking at the press meet held at press club on April 28, Thursday he said that the shooting of the serial will start from May 1 at Sri Kshethra Dharmastala with the blessings of Dr D Veerendra Heggade at 10: 30 am.
The serial ‘Bhoomi’ will be the first tulu daily soap in the Kannada Channel ‘Chandana’. The story of the serial will depict the real story taking place around in Dakshina Kannada and Udupi districts.
Naveen Kumar Hegde Beluvayi, producer and director of the serial said that the 50 episodes of the serial is ready for the shooting. The serial will display the subtitle in Kannada, he said.
The actors like Shashidhar Kote, Ramesh Rai, Kukkuvalli, Shivaprakash Poonja, Roopashri Varkady, Devendra Hegde will play the lead role, while DK Chowta, Soundarya Ramesh, K P Puthhuraya, Udaya Dharmastala and Jyothi Puthuraya will play a special appearance, he added.
Chandra Shekar Bhat, cameraman was present on the occasion.
