Mangalore : Tulu Film ‘Rang’ by Kateeleshwari Combines Productions is set to hit the silver screen in Mangalore and Udupi theatres on August 8, Friday.

Speaking at the press meet held at Cinepolis in City Centre, on August 6, Wednesday executive producer of the film, Sukhpal Polali said that the film ‘Rang’ is all set to release in 12 theatres of Mangalore and Udupi including in Suchithra, Big Cinemas, PVR Multiplex theatres in Mangalore, Kalpana in Udupi, Inox theatre in Manipal, Nakshathra theatre in BC Road, Aruna theatre in Puttur, Bharath theatre in Beltangady, and also in Karkala and Moodbidri.

He also said that renowned Bollywood actor and a comedian Johny Lever has acted in the film, whereas South Indian music director Manikanth Kadri has composed five beautiful songs.

Polali also said that Rang is the second film starring Arjun Kapikad as the lead actor, while humourous dialogues by Devadas Kapikad along with Naveen D Padil, Bhojaraj Vamanjur and Satish Bandale is the additional, fun to the audience.

One of the song, ‘Premanathe Pass Athe’ has become very popular.

The film completed shooting in 40 days at the budget of Rs one crore, without compromising to the quality.

Speaking on the occasion, Devadas Kapikad said that the movie is a complete family entertainer; the actors in the film had no restriction while shooting, which gains huge success.

The upcoming artists were given training by a theatre specialist prior to the film shoot. My role as the college principal is full of fun.

Movie producer Devadas Kumar Pandeshwar said that the movie was made with a lot of efforts and film will run for 100 days.
Movie directors Suhan Prasad, Vismay Vinayak, Pramila Dev, Bhojaraj Vamanjur, Devadas Kapikad, Ramdas and others were also present.
