Mangaluru : Tulu movie ‘Soombe’ under the banner Sri Yajnadhya Production and directed by popular Tulu theater artist Saikrishna Kudla will hit the screens on Friday, March 13.
The film is produced by Kottari brothers namely Kishore, Hemant, Anit and Ashwith Kottari. The film estimated cost is Rs one crore. Veteran Tulu artist Bhojaraj Vamanjoor’s nephew Rahul in the lead role. Mumbai based television actress Shritam Banerjee. The sandalwood Diamond Star Srinagar Kitti, Bullet Prakash and Biradar. Renowned Tulu artists Devdas Kapikad, Naveen D Padil, Bhojaraj Vamanjoor, Arvind Bolar, Sundar Rai, Saikrishna Kudla and Prasanna Shetty also acted in the film.
Saikrishna Kudla done story-writing and screenplay. The movie will be released simultaneously across 12 theatres in Dakshina Kannada and Udupi. The movie has been shot at Sakleshpur and Bengaluru apart from Mangaluru.
“‘Soombe’ has a different type of story. The story revolves around a team of Kannada filmmakers shooting a Tulu film. In that sense, It has elements of both action and comedy,” The movie consists of five songs director Saikrishna said.
