Bantwal:  Eminent Tulu scholar and researcher Dr M Dejappa Dallody was felicitated    at a function held at Bantwal.

Speaking on the occasion Dr M Mohan Alva, Chairman of Alva’s Education and Cultural Foundation, lauded the contributions of Dr Dallody to Tulu literature and culture.  He said Dr Dallody’s book on Billawa culture threw enough light on the richness of the language and the community.

B Sadananda Poonja, former ZP President, honored Dallody.  Former president of Bar Council T Narayan Poojary presided over the programme. Former MLA Rukmaya Poojary and Konkani Sahitya Academy member Professor A Giri Bhat, Dr Dallody Felicitation Committee Vice President B Tammayya, President Yerya Laxminarayan Alva  and others were present on the occasion.
