Mangaluru : Members of Tulunada Rakshana Vedike rescued a woman at KSRTC bus stand Bejai and handed her over to the police, on Friday September 11.
A widow woman Sumathi staying in Bengaluru had abandoned by two sons and a brother in Mangaluru, without any money in her hand.
It is said, after the death of her husband one of her son sent her to Mangaluru and she was stayed in a rented house at Deralakatte. But she not had any money to pay the rent, and then she was put out of there.
Sumathi again returned to Bengaluru and then her sons sent her to chennai. Her brother also shifted her to a rented house in Mangaluru, but she did not stay there and she started living near the bus stand.
Her sons did not respond to her calls, on Friday Tulunada Rakshana Vedike woman wing members took her to the women police station.
The police sent her to an Ashram at Fajir.
After enquiry police have gathered information that Sumathi owns two houses in Bengaluru and land in Mangaluru. The property dispute may be behind the case.
The Vedike members filed a complaint against her sons and they urged the police to investigate the matter.
