Mangalore: In a press meet called at Woodlands Hotel in city on January 6, 2014 Monday, Tulunada Rakshsna Vedike headed by Yogish Shetty Jeppu enrolled a number of new members led by B Pramod Salian and spoke about the injustice done to local Tuluvas by industrialist from outside, who open new ventures on our industrial estates, but deny suitable employment to our own people in hundreds.
Yogish also stead that a struggle would be intensified not only to obtain employment to Tuluvas in greater numbers in and around DK-Udupi districts, but also see that the life line of DK-Netravati River-is saved and maintained for its people living at Yettinahole in Western Ghats and below in the DK districts.
The Tulunada Rakshana Vedike leader added that his Forum had conducted many struggles and movements in the interest of costal Tuluvas, a Tulunad state and protection to the Tuluva culture in the past, and it would continue to uphold Tuluva existence on coastal Karnataka.
