Mangaluru :  Tulunadu flag alongside the national flag hoisted at about 7,075 m. at Mount Everest by Nellikaru Prasad Vijay Shetty and team.

The team took up a trek to Mount Satopanth in the Himalayan Range.  Satopanth is located in Uttarakhand, in the midst of snow-capped peaks at an altitude of 4,600 metres (15,100 ft) above sea level.

The 5-member expedition team was led by Prasad Vijay Shetty. The expedition was taken up to train professional mountaineers.

Due to extreme weather, the 21-day expedition had to be halted in a 6,000-meter climb at Satopanth Summit Base Camp. They unfurled the Tulunadu flag alongside the national flag at the summit. This gesture has been appreciated by many.
