Mangalore : An investment agency called ‘Vruksha Business Solutions Limited’ had been duping consumers from the past one year without repaying their money said Yogish Shetty, president of Tulunadu Rakshana Vedike.
Speaking at the press meet held on September, 10 Wednesday he said that the company in the beginning had lured the consumers with new investment schemes with high interest rates and promise to return their money with good profits. But the customers went on paying the money for the scheme for one year and found company to be cheating them of their hard-earned money. Moreover, the people who have deposited money with the company are insulted by the agents, he said.
The investors and agents under the aegis of Vedike have lodged a complaint against Jeevaraj Puranik, Roshan D’Souza and Venugopal of a fraudulent company with the Commissioner of Police.
Yogish Shetty said that, the company has duped 71 consumers along with members of the Vedike.
It is also learnt that, Vruksha company had initiated the sale of a site worth Rs 7 crore for a selling price of Rs 4.60 crore. Though the consumers had tried to stop the registration process of the site, the management heads of the company completed their process with the help of political leaders.
If the company fails to return the money to its customers then they will stage hunger strike in the city on September 25, he informed.
