Mangalore:  Kankanady rural police have on January 2, Wednesday arrested  Sharan, a cameraman with a Kannada news channel, in connection with the home stay attack. The arrest has taken place at a time when another journalist Naveen Soorinje  who was arrested in the same case on November 7 is still behind bars after being denied bail.

On Wednesday, Sharan was arrested from his office at Pandeshwar. Another accused in the homestay attack case, Santosh of Shaktinagar was also arrested. Both were produced before the court and remanded to judicial custody.

Naveen Soorinje and Sharan are facing the allegation that  they  had videographed the incident and aired it in TV and had not informed the police despite being aware that such an incident would take place.
