Mangaluru : Pandeshwar police have arrested three persons in connection with looting mobile phone and a gold chain from a TV channel reporter.

The arrested are Ganesh (29) from Kuppepadavu, Shaikh Mohammed Farhan (16) from Kolya and Mohammed Ashraf (30) from Ullal.

It is said, Two unidentified men sat next to him at Balabhavan Park near the service bus stand on December 18 and picked up a quarrel with Nagesh. They then allegedly snatched his mobile phone and gold chain and fled from the spot.

As per victims complaint the Pandeshwar police immediately arrested Ganesh and Farhan, the thieves and also Mohammad Ashraf, who is said to have bought the stolen items from the duo.

Ganesh and Ashraf, who are said to be habitual offenders, have been sent to judicial custody while Farhan, who is a juvenile, has been sent to remand home in Shimoga.
