Manjeshwar : Manjeshwar police arrested two culprits and seized illicit foreign liquor worth Rs. 1 lakh which was being transported in an auto moving from Talapady to Kerala.

The arrested have been identified as Sathish Kumar (29), a resident of Hosangadi and Rajesh (30), a resident of Angadi Padavu.

Acting on the tip off, the team of police officials led by SI Pramod followed an auto which was carrying liquor and arrested the duo at Posotu Bridge.

The officials also seized 615 bottles of liquor and 600 packets of cheap liquor hidden beneath the auto rickshaw seat which was being transported to Varkady, Manjeshwar, Paivalike and Minja.

The accused have been produced before court and remanded to judicial custody.
