Mangaluru: A two-day sports competition for primary and secondary school students from across the district will be organized at the Mangala Stadium here on January 15 and 16.

The event is organized by the Mangaluru unit of Kreeda Bharati and the Dakshina Kannada District Physical Teachers’ Association.

The event will feature swimming, wrestling competitions, long jump, high jump, shot put, discus throw and sprint, for children aged between 10 and 14 years and for children aged between 14 and 17 years, competitions will be held in kabaddi, badminton, volleyball and handball.

About 3,500 students from across the district are expected to participate in the event.
