Mangalore : Narendra Nayak, president of ExpertEducation Institution, flagged off the Konkani Sahithya Ratha at LourdesCentral School in Bejai on June 21, Thursday.

Kasargod Chinna, president of the Karnataka Konkani SahityaAcademy said that academy will also organize a Konkani Students’ and YouthConference to promote Konkani languageand culture among youngsters.

He said that the two-day Konkani Sahitya Ratha, will visit120 schools to distribute Konkani books to the school libraries in the city.

Further the academy will hold state level conventions topromote Konkani culture such as art, music, theatre, and other among youths.

DDPI Moses Jayashekar, participated as the chief guest andsaid that 61 SSLC students have passed their examination with Konkani as thethird language.
