Udupi: Inspector-General of Police G Prathap Reddy, told pressmen on Sunday, Jan.12, that two suspects were arrested on Saturday Jan.11 in R N Nayak Murder case on December 21, 2013 (at Ankola). The names of the two arrested suspects from Bannanje Raja’s criminal group were given as Ganesh Bhat alias Manjunath alias Laxman Bhajantri (29) and Abhi alias Ambaji (35).

The murder of businessman R N Nayak had taken place at Ankola in 2013 but the arrests were made in Hebri near Udupi according to IGP. Both were involved in several other criminal cases as gangsters and were wanted by police from several stations on many charges. They will be presented to the court and remanded to police custody soon as informed by the IGP.
