Ullal: On the Eid Milad day three masques did not participate in a procession to celebrate prophet Mohammed’s birthday. This was questioned by Abdul Latif who leaved in vicinity in the area. A clash between two groups occurred 3 days later with a big knife and stone-pelting on vehicles. The police have registered a case of a fight between two groups in Ullal.

On Jan.15 a water tanker was damaged in the stone throwing by the angry mobs of one groups and the wind shield was broken by such stones. When police came to enquire in the sensitive area, stones were pelted at them.

On Jan.16 Abdul Latif and two others standing near a club were attacked by a group led by Mannan of Kotepura and Abdul latif was injured by Mannan’s knife blow. He was taken to a private hospital in Thokkott. Mannan is set to be an accused in several criminal cases in the area and fled the place when police arrived. There is an uneasiness in the whole area now due to the group clash of Mannan and Abdul Latif police are watching to maintain peace.
