Bantwal: Two people were injured after a lorry transporting fertilizer overturned near SVS College, Bantwal on Moodbidri-Bantwal main road on Tuesday evening.

Driver Abhilash (32) from Shivamogga and conductor Mansur (27) from Hosanagar suffered injuries and were admitted to a private hospital in Mangaluru.

The lorry was transporting fertilizer from Sagar to BC Road; however, at a slope near SVS College, the break failed and the lorry overturned. The locals rushed the injured to the hospital.

A case has been registered at Melkar traffic police station.
