Kasargod : Two youth named Sheikh Anees (26) and Sheikh Shaaz (26) lost their lives in a road accident at Mettupalayam in Tamil Nadu. The Maruti Swift car in which they were travelling skid and hit a tree resulting in their death. They along with eight other friends were on a Ooty trip in two cars when the mishap took place.

All the youth hailed from Chetukundu in Kasargod.  One of the passengers sustained serious injuries. Of the two deceased, Anees was an employee of a shipping agency.
