Mangalore : Two dealers have cheated a group of several mobile distributors of Rs. 40 lakhs in city.
The accused dealers are identified as Babulal and Arjun from Rajasthan.
It is learnt that, Gurudath Kamath has been supplying Gionee and Micromax mobile phones to Mayur enterprises belonging to Babulal and Arjun situated at City Tower on Maidan Road since 4 months.
The dealers paid cash for the mobile phones they purchased for two months and later switched to cheques as the mode of payment. After two months the dealers gave the cheque of Rs.2, 38,000 which was dishonoured by the bank. Ehen Gurudutt went to ask for the same he was shock to see the Mayur enterprises was closed.
Kamath even tried to call him over the phone but was found switched off.
It is said that Gurudath’s friends Ranjith from Shree Enterprises, K B Ravi from Estra Life solutions, Rakesh Shettty from Padma Enterprises, Richard Rasquina from Arvis Agencies, Jeevan from Greens enterprises also have been cheated by the duo.
A case has been registered at Bunder police station.
