Mangalore : In a tragedy took place in Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals Limited, two workers from asphalt unit were killed on March 19, Monday.

The deceased are identified as Gunashekar and Marimutthu from Tamil Nadu.

Reportedly are said to be the driver and cleaner of the tanker. When one of the duo went inside the tanker to clean it, he faced the breathing problem since the gas was formed inside the tanker. Later as soon as other came to know it, he too got down to save him and also breathed his last.

The bodies have been shifted to the mortuary at Government Wenlock Hospital in the city for postmortem.
