Kundapur: Krishna Mogaveera (70) and his son Sukesh (29), his youngest son passed away near Hemmady on the same day, Dec.19 Thursday. The double death caused a pall of gloom in the entire town where they resided along with survivors of Krishna, two sons and a daughter to mourn their loss on the same day.

It so happened that Krishna was mentally ill and was hospitalized for some time, and discharged when he took poison and died near Kamthiyar Hadi close to Hemmady’s Janatha high school. He was cremated in full view of his family and the public in the neighborhood near his house.

His youngest son Sukesh (29) who loved his father like his own mother and could not bear his separation from filial love and could not control himself, until he jumped in to a well 60 ft deep and lost his life.

The people of the town searching for him in his absence finally found him at the bottom of a deep well. Amidst outcries the villagers contacted the police and the fire brigade men who rushed to the well and managed to take Sukesh out of it, bud dead.

In view of this tragedy that stuck a family of 5 on the same day the entire town has gone in to deadly silence in gloom.
