Mangalore: Zabina, 19, complained of abdominal (stomach) pain and was diagnosed for appendicitis in S.C.S Hospital (near the St.Aagnes college) on October 15 and underwent a surgery on October.6 there.
But on a regular check-up, the family doctor said that an infection (due to surgery) had spread inside her body, and the doctor who operated on her earlier, was called.
It was decided that she had to be again operated immediately, and on Oct.7 she has taken for another surgery. Less than 48 hours after the second surgery, Zabina collapsed. Her family members have accused the doctor at the hospital, of negligence that led to her death on or around October.9.
Zabina from Addur, was known to be a healthy girl. A crowd gathered at the SCS hospital on Oct.10 here, and demanded an explanation, but the doctor was not around.
A statement still awaited from him.
