Mangalore : Two siblings namely Imran and Parveena have reportedly cheated several people of cash to the tune of Rs 2 crores. It is learnt Parveena borrowed money from several people for business and land dealings and had promised to return it with interest, but did not keep up her words.

One Poornima, a resident of Kunjatturmada has reportedly lost Rs 55 lakhs while another woman named Amina had lost about Rs 1.5 crores. It is learnt Poornima gave the money to Parveena whom she came into contact through a common friend. She had given the cash in instalments of Rs 10 lakhs and is now at a loss.

It is learnt one Haneef a friend of Imran was also threatening people who were demanding money back. Though they had to arrive at CCB office where a complaint was lodged, on Tuesday to repay the cash, they had not turned up. Investigations are in progress.Parveena was reportedly staying in a flat at Kaprigudde.
