Mangaluru: A gang of nearly 25 people has attacked two persons on Saturday late night at Kotepura near Ullal.

Hanif of Mukkacherry and Nifan of Bandikotya are the injured persons. It is reported that the gang has looted Rs 25000 from Nifan.

Lorry carrying sand hit the duos Honda Activa scooter from behind. Immediately, nearly 25 men attacked both of them with wooden planks. Police reached the spot on time after receiving the information of assault. Seeing the police arriving attackers left Nifan and Hanif and fled away.

A case has been registered against Sharif, Athuf, Imthiyaz, Hakim, Irshad and other men.
