Mangalore :  Two shops in the Talapady Panchayat building  were  gutted in a fire mishap on February 1, Friday.The loss has been estimated at Rs 4 lakhs. Three other shops were partially destroyed in the fire.

A scrap shop belonging to one Aboobakker and a tailoring shop of one Suresh has been destroyed. The hotel of Mohammad, a welding workshop of Satyendra and a chicken stall of Ibrahim were partially gutted. The fire service staff with the help of locals extinguished the fire.
