Puttur : A collision between a two-wheeler and a tipper claimed the life of a lady teacher at Pollya, Near Mural in Puttur Taluk.

The deceased Anita (35) worked as a teacher at Wisdom English Medium School.

It is said, Anita, fell down at home a few days ago and was injured. He had come to Puttur Government Hospital for treatment this morning. While returning on a bike after receiving treatment, the bike collided with a tipper lorry at Polya near Kabaka. Anita and her child were thrown onto the road and were seriously injured in the collision. He was immediately shifted to Boluvaru Mahaveera Hospital but he was dead on reaching the hospital.

The child sustained a minor injury on the shoulder, while Suresh Kulal sustained a minor injury and escaped unharmed. A case has been registered at the Puttur Town traffic station.
