Mangalore: The Pandeshwar police on patrolling duty in Pandeshwar rounded up two women thieves who were moving about in a suspicious way on the road after interrogating them found that they had snatched ornaments in buses, houses and roads from women and ladies in city on several occasions.
These stolen ornaments and snatched necklaces had bead hidden in a bush by them and the police were able to recover a pile of stolen materials such as necklaces, rings and other ornaments that are worn by ladies on their bodies.
The names of the two thieves from Tamil Nadu (Karur district) were given as Maheshwari (32) and Nagu (22). The golden ornaments stolen were worth Rs. 2.50 lakhs.
The Pandeshwara police are caring on further investigations on the thefts made by the two women thieves in the past.
