Vitla: Mohammed Nasir (19) of Konaje, Salim (20) of North Canara were arrested by Vitla police at the Check-post near Kashi Matt, when they were moving about on an unregistered bike suspiciously trying to escape on seeing the police in uniforms.

They were apprehended by the Vitla police and were produced in a court of law for the purpose of remanding them to custody on Dec.27 Friday.

The criminal duo had committed thefts in several towns like Honnavar and Panamboor, were they use to pick up mobile phones or cash in several shops by theft.
