Mangalore: They are two bubbling youngsters, with an urge to achieve something in life and they have chosen a field which is quite risky too and have been part of the Panambur beach life guards.
Sanketh Bengre and Tushanth D Bengre are the two young men who have achieved laurels at a very young age. Both hail from Bengre and have a great passion for swimming which has eventually turned them into life guards engaged in the business of saving precious lives.
If Sanketh has completed his MSc in Physics from Mangalore University and is awaiting his results, Tushanth is pursuing his engineering at National Institute of Engineering, Mysore.
Sanketh owing to his great interest in swimming enjoyed even life saving games which necessitates the contestant to brave high tides and waves and save a puppet which is kept at a certain distance. There is also plan to introduce this game in Olympics. He has participated in life saving games in Kerala and was part of an Indian team which took part in an international life saving games held in South Africa. Sanketh has also been selected to represent India in the upcoming Lifesaving World Games, to be held in Australia in November.
Even Tushanth has won a number of awards and had accompanied Sanketh in the life saving games event at South Africa where they bagged third place in the 4 X 25 manicure carry relay.
Both Sanketh and Tushanth want youngsters to take part in life saving skills and games as it would also help in saving precious lives. They also have plans to train youngsters in the game in the future.
