Moodbidri: Two youth namely Yogish Poojari (27) and Satish Bhandari (32) met a watery grave while immersing idol of Goddess Sharada in Phalguni river on behalf of the Sharadotsava Samithi at Kuppepadavu on October 24, Wednesday.

Though locals including sand mining workers immediately swung into action to rescue the two no sooner they drowned, it was of no use. If Satish was running a saloon in the town, Yogish Poojari was a labourer.
