Vittal : In an accident between a car and a lorry at Chennarayapatna in Hassan on January 14 has claimed the life of two techies hailing from Dakshina Kannada district.

The deceased are Deviprasad Shetty (30) of Bantakal near Eshwaramangala and Sudarshan (32) from Kelagina Barebettu in Kolnad of Bantwal. Deviprasad worked for a company in Bengaluru while Sudarshan worked for Infosys at Mudipu.

Both of them were friends as they worked in the same company earlier. Deviprasad was later working abroad and then had returned to work for an IT company in Bengaluru.

He had purchased a new car and was returning hometown to be with his wife as they were expecting their first child. As Sudarshan was not good at driving he had asked his friend Sudarshan to come along.

Sudarshan had therefore travelled to Bengaluru by bike and from there the friends had travelled by car when tragedy struck.
