Mangaluru: Traffic Wardens Squad’s (TWS) first anniversary was celebrated by organising vehicle jatha at Kankanady on Monday.

DCP Dr Ssanjeev Patil flagged off the the jatha. Addressing the gathering he said that TWS has helped much in controlling the traffic of the city. It has reduced the extra burden of traffic police. The initiative taken by Joe Gonsalves has resulted into a excellent service.

“Road safety week and vehicle jatha are organised to educate the people about the safety measures that they should take while driving the vehicle. I urge everyone to follow the traffic rules and to be safe,” he said.

The jatha was concluded at Commissioners office.

Traffic ACP Tilak Chandra, Joe Gonsalves and others were present.
