Mangaluru: Hafiza Hawwa Naseema, the daughter of DK District in-charge Minister and State Minister for Urban Development and Housing U T Khader has been chosen to participate in the International Dubai Holy Quran Award contest to be held at the Dubai Cultural and Scientific Association, Al Mamzar, Dubai From November 4 to 16.
The Award is being given in memory of Shaikha Fatima Binth Mubarak, wife of Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahwan, founder president of UAE. Naseema is the sole representative of India in the event and will be one among the 63 contestants from across the world.
The winner will get a cash of 2.5 lakh Dirhams which is approximately Rs 50 lakhs. Naseema is a student of Madin Qland Academy, Kadalundi, Malappuram in Kerala since two years and is pursuing formal education at Government High School, Manjeri Malappuram. She is a ninth standard student.
