Mangalore : MLA UT Khader in a press meet held District Congress office on Jan 3 said that the pending demand of Ullal town residents will be fulfilled with the implementation of underground drainage at a cost of Rs.61.71 crore.
The state government had released the funds for the project 3 months back. The scheme has been prepared keeping in mind the population of Ullal town after 30 years, estimated to be 2,04,237 people in 2041, he added.
Khader said that, Ullal Town Municipal Council has been divided into 12 zones and work was been distributed for the construction of manholes and sewer lines worth Rs. 18.93 crore. The modern technology of this kind will be used for the first time in Karnataka.
He said the first zone work is expected to be accomplished before the commencement of next rainy season.
Speaking on Togadia’s speech, he said that the VHP leader does not have the basic qualifications to speak about Congress leaders.
