Udupi : A Mumbairi travelled 28-year-old pregnant woman tested positive for coronavirus on Monday, May 18 in Udupi.

She has been admitted to Dr TMA Pai Covid hospital after returned from Mumbai to Udupi and was under quarantine.

The woman is seven months pregnant had travelled from Mumbai to Udupi on May 12.  Her husband has also been placed under isolation.

Twenty-five people who travelled with her in the bus from Mumbai are also identified and their swab samples have been collected for testing.

With this, 11 confirmed cases of coronavirus have been reported so far in the district, including a 54-year-old person who died of heart attack on May 16. Three have recovered, and seven are active
