Udupi : The Udupi city unit of the BJP organised a function here on March 17, Sunday wherein newly elected councilors of the party were honoured.

Udupi MLA Raghupathi Bhat and  District Minister and Minister for Mujrai and Ports Kota Srinivas Poojari was the chief guest.

 Speaking on the occasion, Raghupathi Bhat said the defeat was unexpected for the party. He stressed the need for the party workers to put in more efforts and strive for the victory of the party in the next elections.

Kota Srinivas Poojari who also spoke said the need for the partuy workers to put up a united front was more than ever. He also exhorted party men to enlighten the people on the achievements of the state BJP governent.

 Udupi City BJP President Manohar Kalmadi, Udaykumar Shetty, Udupi district BJP President, Coastal Development Authority Chairman Tingale Vikramarjuna Hegde, Shyamala Kundapur, Udupi District BJP Secretary, Dinaker Shetty, former CMC President and others were present.
