Udupi : The Devadigara Seva Sangha of Udupi celebrated its platinum jubilee at the Devadiga Sabhabhavan, Chitpady on May 26, Sunday. A procession was taken out by members of the committee  from Sharadamba Temple Chitpady to the function venue. Sri Esha Vittaldas  Swamiji of Kemar Sandeepani Ashram was taken in the procession.

Speaking as a chief guest, M Veerappa Moily, Union Minister for Petroleum and Natural Gas,  said peace, non-violence and tolerance form the essence of all religions. There can be peace in society when all ideals are adhered to, he added. He also called upon people to shed helplessness and work for the cause of the nation.

The Kemar seer blessed the occasion. Udupi District Minister and State Minister for Urban Development Vinayakumar Sorake blessed the occasion.  Udupi MLA Praod MAdhwarj, former MLA Raghupathi Bhat and  Ni Annaji Ballal, Trustee of Ambalpady Janardhan Temple were the chief guests of the occasion.

Dharmapal Devadiga, Honorary President, Seetaram Santhekatte, Vice President, Ratnaker, Treasurer, Sridhar Devadiga, Secretary and others were present.
