Udupi :  A total 92 people including 78 males, 13 females and one child, tested positive in Udupi on Thursday.

All 92 have come from Maharashtra. A total of 64 people are in isolation wards, including nine fresh admissions on Thursday. Among them, one is a coronavirus suspect, while six have SARI and two influenza-like illness.

Total 748 people, including 14 on Thursday, have been discharged from isolation wards so far.

A total of 12,520 samples have been collected so far, including seven on Thursday. Out of them, 10,225 samples have turned out to be negative, including 3,119 on Thursday, and 1,732 reports are awaited. As many as 563 confirmed cases of coronavirus have been reported so far in the district. A total of 108 among them have been discharged, and 454 are active. One death has occurred so far.

Dakshina Kannada’s four positive cases includes a 28-year-old woman, who had come from Dubai and three men aged 34, 48, 50, who recently returned from Maharashtra.

As on today, Dakshina Kannada has 63 active cases and 73 persons have recovered and been discharged from the hospital. District had registered seven deaths so far.
