Udupi: Paryaya Darbar 2018 is all set to begin from today. Lakhs of devotees are expected to visit the grand ceremony where Sri Vidyadheeshateertha Swamiji of Palimar Math will ascend the Paryaya Peetha

The Paryaya festival, which the marks the transfer of power of management and worship of Lord Krishna at the 800-year-old Sri Krishna Mutt  from one seer to another seer of the Ashta Mutts or eight mutts of Udupi biennially will be held here.

Union ministers are also expected to witness the ceremonial functions.
