Udupi : Vidyadheesha Tirtha Swami of Paryaya Palimar Mutt inaugurated an office here on Wednesday for the five-day mega free Yoga camp to be held here from under guidance of the Yoga guru Baba Ramdev at the Ramadhama Chatra.

The Yoga camp was earlier scheduled to be held at the Rajangana Parking Space here from December 3 to 7. But the dates have been advanced due to technical reasons and it would be held at the same venue from November 16 to 20.

Speaking after inaugurating the office, Vidyadheesha Tirtha Swami said that in the earlier times, Yoga was confined only to sages. But it had gradually gained importance and people were practising it now.

Now due to the efforts of Haridwar Patanjali Yogapeetha, it had reached the houses of most people in the country. People could guard themselves against diseases by practising Yoga daily.

Bhawarlal Arya, State in-charge of Patanjali Yogapeetha, Sujatha M., Jnaneshwar Nayak, Balaji Raghavendra Acharya, Karambali Shivaram Shetty, Ajith Shetty, office-bearers of Patanjali Yogapeetha, Prahlad P.R., Administrative Officer of Sri Krishna Mutt, Shreesha Bhat Kadekar, Public Relations Officer of the mutt, were present.
