Udupi: With the temple town of Udupi in the grips of acute water scarcity, the local MLA Raghupathi Bhat chose to turn to God to pray for early rains. He offered Bondabhisheka (tender coconut abhisheka) and special prayers at the Sri Anantheshwara Temple in the town to seek the blessings of the Rain God.

Special prayers were also offered to Lord Krishna and Mukhyaprana at the Kirshna Mutt earlier.

Sri Vishwavallabha Theertha Swamiji of Paryaya Sode Mutt, Kiran Kumar, Udupi CMC President, Gokuladas Nayak, Commissioner and others were present.
