Udupi : Udupi district confirmed fifth death of corona virus on Tuesday, July 14.

The deceased is identified as a resident of Kaup taluk in the district.

The 82-year-old who passed away on Monday, July 13 due to the infection on the evening of, was admitted to the hospital for lungs and kidney ailment. Following the death of the octogenarian man, his swab test was collected on Tuesday, July 14 the test results confirmed the coronavirus infection.

As per required coronavirus protocol his funeral was held at the Beedingudde cremation ground.
