Udupi: Superintendent Dr Sanjeev Patil has been posted as the Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP), Administration, Bengaluru City while Laxman Nimbargi, who was Chitradurga Additional Superintendent of Police, has been appointed as the new SP for Udupi district.
Patil told that he had a good tenure in Udupi. He could discharge his duties effectively with support from his team and was satisfied by his performance. The phone in-programme was a unique aspect that helped him understand the criminal activities and legal issues bothering the district.
He would be looking forward to the same in his next responsibility.
The new superintendent of police Laxman Nimbargi belongs to the IPS 2014 cadre. He is from Benakanahalli in Indi taluk in Vijayapura district. He completed his primary and secondary education at the Government High School, Savadatti, in Belagavvi district and pursued his pre-university studies and degree in Engineering in Hubballi.
He served as probationer in Dakshina Kannada and worked in Bantwal and Uppinangadi. He was posted as ASP Chitradurga in September 2016.
He told that he was a trend-setter in UPSC civil service examinations by writing the entire examination in Kannada in 2013, where he secured the 104th rank. His optional was Kannada Literature. He studied in Kannada medium from 1st to 10th standard.
